Hey, fellow millennial (if you’re not a millennial then can relate to you as well). You might have noticed that our generation has a bit of a problem with relationships. How many people do you know who are either not doing the whole relationship thing right now, or who are doing it but are having all kinds of drama?
It’s a far cry from our parents’ and grandparents’ generations where courtship, engagement, commitment and then marriage were the name of the game. Previous generations went on long walks or out to the cinema, got to know each other’s families (and you just know a lot of those families were comprised of 2-4 children with a dog and a comfortable station wagon), and then started picking out wedding invitation designs.
Not similar to our generation at all! In fact, recent data from the Pew Research Center showed that millennials are far less likely to get married than any other generation in modern history. It got me thinking – what’s up with that? Why are we as a generation so commitment phobic? Just what is it that makes relationships so scary to the millennials? View Post
It’s the most wonderful time of the year guys. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has started. For those who love to shop, this sale is a big deal because Nordstrom puts all their new stuff, and them BAM marks them down for a couple days. So from now until July 20th, if you have the Nordstrom credit or debit card you can exclusively shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale before it opens to the public and score all the good stuff. Last night, I stayed up until almost 5 am just browsing the entire sale and I picked out some of my favorites and also ordered a ton of things. Let’s just say my bank account is definitely going to feel this one lol! My Nordstrom’s cart totaled items in the double digits. Ahh this sale is soo good that you can’t afford to miss all the good deals. Just a little note: If you have early access because you’re a cardholder, I highly recommend that you shop now before the sale goes live for the public because a lot of things sell out fast. Second, if you aren’t a cardholder and are a fan of Nordstrom’s please please apply for the debit or credit card. It only takes a few minutes and you can sign up here right now. Third, be smart about shopping this sale. If you like something don’t just get it make sure that you can actually afford it and that you’ll actually wear it. One blogger I follow on Instagram even suggested by certain items in 2’s just in case one doesn’t fit because everything sells out very fast. Also, use this sale to stock up on jeans. A lot of my favorite brands like Topshop, Free People and 7 for all mankind jeans go on sale. A good pair of jeans that is affordable is hard to come by so I know that once they’re on sale during the #NSale I’m buying them. Check out some of my favorites and what I bought below in my shopping guide.

Younger season 4 premiered last night and omg if you watched Younger last season you know that last night’s premiere episode was HUGE. At the ending of season 3, Josh and Liza broke up. I know sad face!!! He was about propose and then he saw Liza kissing her boss Charles. Now I’m so torn because I love Josh but I also love her DILF boss Charles. Peter Herman you are so dreamy on Younger. Liza decided to take a dose of truth serum and she told Kelsey (Hilary Duff) her secret of not actually being a 26 years old, but a 40 year old divorced mom from New Jersey. Honestly, I was happy she told Kelsey because week after week it was getting really hard to watch Liza go through great lengths to keep this secret. I was stressing so hard LOL! Thank goodness Kelsey knows but omg we still have to deal with her keeping this secret from everyone else at Empirical Press. Naturally, Kelsey didn’t take the news of that big lie all too well. She’s feeling betrayed and making a lot of crazy decision but we’ll take more on that a bit later on. View Post

In case you’ve been living under a rock, let me bring you up to speed: Last week Pepsi released a commercial starring supermodel Kendall Jenner at the center of a protest that appears to satisfy tensions by sharing Pepsi. We’re not stupid, we know they aren’t literally trying to solve the world’s problems with soda. They’re merely trying to appeal to a specific demographic by using current events to sell soda. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s get to the backlash.
Pepsi had good intentions but they get a “C” for effort. They probably need a more diverse team because someone should’ve told them this commercial would be taken seriously and not as lightly as they intended. They’re hinting around some emotionally intense problems. Had they left the cop scene out, this commercial may have been more widely accepted.
Some people are saying that it’s not Kendall Jenner’s fault because she didn’t create the commercial. Pepsi issued an apology to their viewers and Kendall Jenner, but I don’t think it was Kendall who needed that apology. Kendall is twenty-one years old, she is an adult who accepted the role and was paid for it View Post
