Saving money can be really hard. However, it is one of those goals that are attainable if you exercise self-discipline. Whatever you decide to save money for, you should first have a plan. This plan should include both your short and long-term saving goals. It should also include the amount of money you hope to save, your budget and anything else related to your goal of saving money. Saving money can be frustrating. My advice to you is don’t get discouraged while you’re trying to save money. A lot of times you might not get to save the desired amount you might want each month but you should never give up. I can tell you from experience that when I was trying to save money earlier this year a lot of times, I had to dip into my savings for a car emergency or to pay a bill. Back in April, I didn’t even put money into my savings account because I had to get new tires. It happens but the most important thing I did was never giving up. View Post
The Nordstrom Sale has started and so far I am loving so many of the pieces they have on sale this year. I have to say the pieces this year are so much better than last year, especially the boots. This sale is literally the best sale of the year in my opinion of course. My life has been so hectic recently, so this sale is definitely making my day. I recently moved to Florida and for the past month, I have been so busy. I’ve been so busy that I’ve neglected my blog lol! That’s how crazy my life has been. Image Source
One of my favorite is this cowl neck shift dress. I have been obsessing over them, since I find shift dresses so flattering on a curvy girl. I am also in love with these lace up flats. Don’t you just love the lace up flats trend this season. Now these ankle skinny jeans from Topshop are just perfect. I love that they come in the color stone! Since I had Early Access, I splurged and bought this gorgeous dress and since I live in Florida now, it’s so perfect for the weather down here. I also ordered these boots for the Fall. Don’t worry they’re open toed so I’m not going to be too hot. I’m also going to order some new workout clothes that I’ll link below. This Nordstrom Sale is filled with so many great pieces that you should definitely stock up on. Are you shopping during the Nordstrom Sale? If you are I would definitely love to see your pictures and sale guides. View Post
Father’s Day is almost here and the best part about it is I actually get to spend it with my dad. My dad has been living in sunny Florida for the past three years, while I remained in Connecticut with my mom and two other siblings. So this year, I want to make sure I get him a really amazing Father’s Day gift I know he’ll love. My dad really isn’t hard to shop for so I can basically get him anything and he’ll appreciate it. However, this year I really want to get him something special even though all he probably wants is a good Sunday dinner and for me to go to church with him. Any who, today I wanted to share with you all some of my top ideas for some pretty cool Father’s Day gift. Let’s just hope I don’t procrastinate and wait until the day before to get my dad something lol!
Hey guys, guess what I have a brand new recipe for you. I swear, lately, my blog has been slowly transitioning into a food blog because I’ve been sharing so many yummy recipes. I was recently contacted by GoAvo to work with them on a collaboration, where I had to create a dish using one of GoAvo’s avocado spreads. At first I was so nervous about this collaboration because honestly, I’m not a chef and when I cook I literally throw ingredients together and somehow it manages to taste good. Also, I have to confess that some days I just hate cooking and the thought of being in the kitchen just makes me want to scream lol. But after thinking it over I snatched my non-existent weave, (LOL) gave myself a little pep talk and I realized that this would be a fun, creative and yummy experience. So please enjoy my tilapia mango salsa salad with a ranch avocado dip and chips on the side. Happy Eating and I hope you love this dish as much as I do. View Post
Recently, I made a commitment to take better care of my hair. Honestly, I have to confess that I am the worse at taking care of my hair. Taking better care of my hair means getting regular trims, doing protein treatment, keeping it moisturized and lastly giving my hair some TLC with weekly deep conditioning treatments. So, to accomplish this I started doing some research on my go-to site “YouTube” because ladies you know there is a plethora of information on YouTube for hair and other beauty related stuff. When I started research deep conditioning treatments on YouTube I wanted to find something a product with the least amount of chemicals and this is when I stumbled across the DIY Banana-Avocado Hair Mask. I love bananas and I love avocados, so I was like why not give this yummy mask a try. I had all the ingredients in my kitchen already and it was super easy to make. Ladies, this hair mask smelled so damn good. I honestly was so tempted to eat it but I couldn’t due to raw egg in it. I loved this mask so much that I just knew I had to share it with my readers. So in case you want to give your hair some TLC here is the recipe for the DIY Banana-Avocado Hair Mask. Enjoy xx <3 View Post
