Love Is According To Vanessa

Hey guys, I’m finally back after taking a mini hiatus from my blog. School has been so hectic and it has forced me to put a lot of things on hold. I’ve also been working so life has just  afforded me no time to upkeep this blog. I can’t believe this will be my first post for November. I’m so ashamed lol! Thanksgiving was amazing. I absolutely loved being able to just be carefree, wake up late and binge watch my favorite TV shows. I absolutely love the holiday season and can’t wait for my Christmas holiday in the sun. I hope you guys had an amazing Thanksgiving. I know I did, so today I just wanted to share the love and continue my “Love Is” series. Today, I am sharing with my latest “Love Is” submission from a long time friend of mine, Vanessa. Enjoy xx ♥

Love Is

My definition of love has been amended so many times as I grew older and continues to be modified as I discover more about myself. I am such a huge advocate of loving yourself before loving anyone else! Once you master that, you open up the door to an endless definition of love. I can seriously make this extremely long and detailed, but I will cut to the chase, or so at least try. Love is being completely, and absolutely, 100% WORRY-FREE. I have been in this relationship for five years and *spoiler alert * it has not always been a walk in the park, haha. Nothing bad can ever come from the true feeling of pure and honest love because even with heartbreaks they come with life lessons that give us valuable insight about ourselves. Love is being able to be yourself, hands down! Loving my boyfriend is so natural to me and I could not be any happier. He is a wonderful man, a dear friend, and I will always have love for him. Loving him is so effortless and fulfilling. He makes me feel so confident in myself as I work rigorously to better myself. To end my thoughts on love, love is being able to only say wondrous things about your significant other, even if your love story has an expiration date.

PS. Love is staying up late writing about what love is just so you wouldn’t miss the opportunity to share with the world the power of love no matter who it comes from. Whether it’s from family, friends, or a partner. They did not lie to us when they said love makes the world go round.

  • Loving yourself is definitely incredibly important, especially before being in a relationship and loving someone else! I love your take on this — beautiful summary!
