Try This: DIY Banana- Avocado Hair Mask

Recently, I made a commitment to take better care of my hair. Honestly, I have to confess that I am the worse at taking care of my hair. Taking better care of my hair means getting regular trims, doing protein treatment, keeping it moisturized and lastly giving my hair some TLC with weekly deep conditioning treatments. So, to accomplish this I started doing some research on my go-to site “YouTube” because ladies you know there is a plethora of information on YouTube for hair and other beauty related stuff. When I started research deep conditioning treatments on YouTube I wanted to find something a product with the least amount of chemicals and this is when I stumbled across the DIY Banana-Avocado Hair Mask. I love bananas and I love avocados, so I was like why not give this yummy mask a try. I had all the ingredients in my kitchen already and it was super easy to make. Ladies, this hair mask smelled so damn good. I honestly was so tempted to eat it but I couldn’t due to raw egg in it. I loved this mask so much that I just knew I had to share it with my readers. So in case you want to give your hair some TLC here is the recipe for the DIY Banana-Avocado Hair Mask. Enjoy xx <3Banana Avocado Hair Mask View Post

January Favorites

It’s officially February. January was a relatively slow month for me. The days were long but the month flew by. January was actually a good month. A lot of good came with the new year. School is going great even though this sociology paper due in a couple of weeks is kicking my butt. I got invited to NYFW and I can actually go this time because work isn’t getting in the way. I’m still deciding on what I should wear because since it’s cold in New York and I want to be stylish but also comfortable and warm. I’m so nervous though. I’ve never been to a fashion show lol. For today’s blog post i want to recap January and just share with you all some of my favorites from last month. Enjoy xx ♥

Beauty Love // Coco Balm

Coco BalmEven though it’s still warm outside my skin somehow knows that the seasons are changing. I normally have very oily skin but during the winter my skin is a combination of oily and dry and the one part on my face that suffers the most are my lips. My lips get so dry that I always have to keep it hydrated. I normally use the Victoria Secret lip-glosses and honestly I love them, but it’s not the ideal thing to wear to bed. Thankfully, I found the Coco Balm on this cute little Etsy shop “Poor and Pretty” filled with so many other wonderful homemade treats for your skin. However, the first product I decided to try from “Poor and Pretty” was their Coco Balm. I just love this lip balm for my lips. It’s the perfect transitional lip product. Girls, if any of you have extremely dry lips when the seasons are transitioning then the Coco Balm, is what you need. The Coco Balm is an all-natural vegan lip balm made with organic cocoa butter and coconut oil. The Coco Balm ingredients include candelilla wax, cocoa butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, and stevia in coconut oil, vitamin E oil. The ingredients used to make the Coco Balm is certified organic. It’s an all-natural product and it has no preservatives, no artificial color or flavoring. These blends of ingredients are so amazing for your lips. I’ve been using it regularly for the past two weeks and I have seen such an improvement in the texture of my lips. I just love when an inexpensive quality product has so much good benefits for your skin. The Coco Balm definitely will be my go-to product this winter. You can buy the Coco Balm for only $4.00 plus it smells really good and makes your lips taste yummy lol.

Dove Quench Absolute Review

Dove Quench AbsoluteA couple of weeks ago, while out food shopping at Stop & Shop I stumbled across the Dove Quench Absolute Line for coarse/curly hair and I was so intrigued that Dove actually had a line for girls with naturally curly, coarse hair. I’ve always loved using Dove products like the bar soaps and body wash. I knew they carried a line of Shampoos and Conditioners, but I never was really interested in trying them out. However, I had just come back from vacation and my hair was starving for some TLC so I wanted something new to try. I’ve always loved how moisturized and soft my skin was after using Dove’s body soap so I was really curious to see if this Dove Quench Absolute Line would have the same effect on my hair that was suffering from a bad case of dryness. I decided to try out the Dove Quench Absolute Shampoo, Conditioner, and the Restoration Mask and the results were so impressive that I am officially a fan and I’ll definitely be buying again.
