A couple weeks ago I experienced a major shift in my life and I’m still trying to pick up the pieces and understand what happened. It’s so crazy how one minute everything can seem perfectly fine and then next thing you know your drowning in your own emotions because you can’t handle how life is constantly biting you in the ass. I’ve been feeling so defeated recently. Every aspect of my life has been a struggle. Emotionally I am distraught and a wreck. I feel like my entire world and what I know has crashed down. I haven’t reached rock bottom but I feel myself slipping closer and closer to it. I’m honestly feel sad. Everyone keeps telling me to focus on my goals. Don’t worry everything will be okay but I don’t feel like it is. My heart is telling me otherwise. Recently, I was told that I always have to remember that not everyone who smiles in your face has your best interest at heart. And honestly there are no truer words. I experienced this shift in my life. The shift shattered me emotionally. I cried so hard on the inside, while my exterior told another story. I hid my true emotions and remained stoic in the face of betrayal. I’ve decided not to be bitter. I’ve decided to not be petty and angry but to forgive and continue believing that through the stink people can change. There is a reason why God constantly gives us many chances so I have to live by his example.
Hey, fellow millennial (if you’re not a millennial then can relate to you as well). You might have noticed that our generation has a bit of a problem with relationships. How many people do you know who are either not doing the whole relationship thing right now, or who are doing it but are having all kinds of drama?
It’s a far cry from our parents’ and grandparents’ generations where courtship, engagement, commitment and then marriage were the name of the game. Previous generations went on long walks or out to the cinema, got to know each other’s families (and you just know a lot of those families were comprised of 2-4 children with a dog and a comfortable station wagon), and then started picking out wedding invitation designs.
Not similar to our generation at all! In fact, recent data from the Pew Research Center showed that millennials are far less likely to get married than any other generation in modern history. It got me thinking – what’s up with that? Why are we as a generation so commitment phobic? Just what is it that makes relationships so scary to the millennials? View Post
It’s the most wonderful time of the year guys. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has started. For those who love to shop, this sale is a big deal because Nordstrom puts all their new stuff, and them BAM marks them down for a couple days. So from now until July 20th, if you have the Nordstrom credit or debit card you can exclusively shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale before it opens to the public and score all the good stuff. Last night, I stayed up until almost 5 am just browsing the entire sale and I picked out some of my favorites and also ordered a ton of things. Let’s just say my bank account is definitely going to feel this one lol! My Nordstrom’s cart totaled items in the double digits. Ahh this sale is soo good that you can’t afford to miss all the good deals. Just a little note: If you have early access because you’re a cardholder, I highly recommend that you shop now before the sale goes live for the public because a lot of things sell out fast. Second, if you aren’t a cardholder and are a fan of Nordstrom’s please please apply for the debit or credit card. It only takes a few minutes and you can sign up here right now. Third, be smart about shopping this sale. If you like something don’t just get it make sure that you can actually afford it and that you’ll actually wear it. One blogger I follow on Instagram even suggested by certain items in 2’s just in case one doesn’t fit because everything sells out very fast. Also, use this sale to stock up on jeans. A lot of my favorite brands like Topshop, Free People and 7 for all mankind jeans go on sale. A good pair of jeans that is affordable is hard to come by so I know that once they’re on sale during the #NSale I’m buying them. Check out some of my favorites and what I bought below in my shopping guide.

If you’re a last-minute shopper like me, you’re going to be running to the stores and shopping online this week to make sure you get those last-minute Christmas gifts. I always wait until the last-minute because I’m either extremely busy during the month of December or I can’t think of the perfect gift to get my friends & family. Christmas creeped up on me this year. I can’t believe that next Sunday is Christmas and I’ve only gotten gifts for my niece, nephew, mom and sister. I still have so many gifts to get and so little time. Thank God for gift guides. Honestly, they are life savers. Today, I decided to create a gift guide for the guys in our lives. I always have the hardest time trying to figure out what to get the guys in my life, because they are all so laid back. They aren’t fussy and they love and appreciate everything you give them. They literally have everything, so when I shop for them I’m always asking myself what can I get them that they’ll actually use everyday or once in a while? When I’m shopping for my friends & family I love getting them quality gifts they can use. I don’t want to waste my money and I want to get the best deals out there. My Christmas gift guide below features a variety of gift ideas you can choose from or just get an idea of the direction you might want to go when shopping for that guy in your life. Also, as an added bonus I have 20% off coupon (TJHoliday) you can use when purchasing any of the Tommy John clothing and underwear from my gift guide or on the Tommy John website www.tommyjohn.com
