Today, I’m excited to announce my new series “Music On Repeat.” For the longest time I’ve wanted to start a music series on my blog where I can post my favorite songs more regularly. Before I use to do a monthly playlist but I always felt that my list was too long and there were too many songs I used to listen to in a month’s span and one single blog post just wasn’t enough space to share all my favorite songs. My new series “Music On Repeat” will appear often on my blog. You guys will probably see me a new “Music On Repeat” every week or even twice a week. It all depends on how much I love a particular song. Today I am sharing with you guys three of the songs I have on repeat and just can’t stop playing. Hope you guys enjoy and I would love to know in the comments what you guys are listening to. I want to discover some more music and who knows maybe I’ll add some of your suggestions to “Music On Repeat” series. Enjoy ♥
January is almost over!! I feel like just yesterday I was ringing in the New Year in Florida at Disney and now the month is almost over. I’m just ready for winter to be over honestly. January for me was just filled with assignment after assignment and I also had to make the tough decision to turn down an internship due to my heavy school work load. Hopefully, this was a smart decision. I’m excited to see what February brings but before we celebrate a new month let’s send out January with a bang. Here are my top four song for January. Hope you enjoy xx ♥
First heard this song on MTV’s new show Eye Candy and I just had to add it to this month’s playlist. This song is solid and their album is even better. This was one of my favorite songs this month. They sorta give me a Paramore vibe.
2. G.R.L- Lighthouse
This song was written for their late band mate Simone Battle. When I heard she had committed suicide last Fall it absolutely broke my heart. I love that they decided to honor her memory with this song and that they are now using their platform to raise awareness about mental illness.
Yesterday Grateful received an Oscar Nomination for Best Original Song and since then I’ve been obsessed with this song. I remember when I saw Beyond The Lights with my friends and the movie told the story of Noni Jean, a girl who had it all but with the pressures of having it all she almost committed suicide but thankfully Kaz saved her life that night in so many ways. He helped her rediscover herself. He helped her believe in herself and he helped her find her song. This movie was so beautiful. It started off so dark but throughout the movie the beauty of the story shined bright. This is a movie I think is a must see. It shows you the dark side of fame and how it can really destroy a person and if you don’t have someone in your corner who sees the real you life in the spotlight can be very lonely. I absolutely loved the soundtrack for this movie. Another one of my favorite songs besides Rita Ora’s “Grateful” is Cynthia Erivo- Fly Before You Fall. Fly Before You Fall is such a beautiful song and the first time I heard this song I broke down because it literally spoke to me. You can take a listen to Fly Before You Fall below. Happy Friday darlings ♥
I’m such a big Selena Gomez fan that when she teased on Instagram that she was releasing new music I was so excited. I knew Selena Gomez had such a tough year and from her latest social media updates I could tell she was hurting and that she was using music to express herself. Selena Gomez’s new song “The Heart Wants What It Wants” doesn’t disappointment. I’m listening to it right now and I have to say she has definitely grown musically. The Heart Wants What It Wants is one of Selena’s most personal and honest song yet. She just poured her all into it.I can feel every emotion she’s channeling through this song. Selena Gomez I give this song five stars. I’m loving this song at the moment and I can’t stop listening to it. Selena we understand and this song is so relatable. The lyrics and the meaning behind this song speaks volumes. Take a listen to Selena Gomez-The Heart Wants What It Wants below and sound off below in the comments your opinion.
