TV Talk: The Originals (From A Cradle To A Grave)

Tuesday night season finale of The Originals was explosive. In my opinion it was the most anticipated season finale for the 2013/2014 TV finale schedules. I knew last nights episode was going to leave me with some crazy emotions but I didn’t expect the outcome of last night’s episode. The season finale opened with Hayley being held down while she gave birth to her little baby as Klaus watched. Genevieve who still had a little heart left in her let Hayley hold her baby for a bit after birth but Monique being the evil witch that she is slit her throat and Hayley died. I literally screamed when she did that. I seriously don’t get why this girl was so damn devious and evil. My heart ached even more when Elijah came in and found Klaus holding Hayley’s dead body. I felt so much pain for Elijah because as he said in the episode that he let her in. She was the one woman that he truly loved and gave her his heart. I probably cried like for 80% of this episode. Thankfully because of the baby she was carrying, her life was saved because she still had some of the baby’s hybrid blood in her. Praise Jesus ahhh! Hayley definitely came back fiercer than ever. She was like badass mom on the prowl trying to find those witches and save her baby. She was just dangerous. I loved how she used her mama extinct to find her baby because Klaus and Elijah definitely couldn’t push through the illusion that the witches created. Thank God Hayley survived. It was such a battle to save that little baby because the witches had help from their ancestors, which almost made it impossible for them to get to the baby. What happened next totally threw me off. Marcel used that weapon that made a thousand cuts on Monique as she was trying to kill the munchkin and saved the baby’s life. Even though his motives were jaded (he saved the baby then stole it so Klaus could heal his friends) this granted him the forgiveness he needed from Klaus. The craziest thing for me during this episode is how while everyone was battling to save Klaus and Hayley’s baby; Davina was resurrecting Mikael so he could kill Klaus. Mikael thought he had won and he would get his revenge but because Davina is a vengeful and smart witch who had an ulterior motive she decided to lock him up in the attic of the church and control him with that little trinket she got from Cami until she was ready to use him. She is so smart and I can’t wait to see what this trick she has up her sleeve. As the episode was winding down of course the writers had to add another tear jerking moment. I actually loved the ending of the episode. Hayley, Klaus and Elijah made the ultimate sacrifice to give up the baby by faking her death for her own protection. In the ending Klaus gave the baby to his sister Rebekah because she was the only person he trusted with his daughter’s life. He knew that she was the only person who could have given her the life that both Hayley and Klaus wanted her to live. He named her Hope because in Klaus’s eyes she was the hope that they all needed to fight and win this war. It was a selfless thing he did and I’m happy they made a Klaus a father in The Originals even though he won’t be raising her. It gives him a purpose, hope and most importantly a heart. As they said the baby will be in constant danger and we saw that in the ending because Esther their mother took the form of Cassie and came back with one of her sons who I believe was Henric because he’s the only one who died before becoming a vampire. Next season is going to be even explosive. I literally can’t wait to see what the writers of The Originals are going to come up with. This season was amazing and I’m glad I got to watch it. This post concluded TV Talk for The Originals until next fall. In the meantime you can follow me on FB or Twitter for updates.

TV Talk: The Originals (The Battle of New Orleans)

Last weeks episode of The Originals was just heartbreaking. I’ve never felt so many emotions rushing through my body as I did while watching last weeks episode. First off let’s just talk about that kiss between Elijah and Hayley umm “mind blowing.” Can I just say that I am happy he’s finally going after something he wants for once. I’ve been waiting all season for them to finally get together. Can anyone tell me why Klaus is still entertaining this crazy redhead witch. I wasn’t even surprised when she double crossed him in the ending and gave those stones to the Guerrera’s who happened to be a family/pact of ancient werewolves. I mean seriously I was thrown a lot when Francesca told Genevieve to give her the stones and then she activated her werewolf curse. Too bad Hayley didn’t pick up her phone when Cami called or else she might have been able to do something. Both Klaus and Elijah were so preoccupied with Marcel and his army of vamps fight to get back the French Quarter that they were blinded to a lot of the things going on around them (Francesca’s plot). So much could have been avoided if people’s thirst for power didn’t blind their judgements of the humans well werewolves actually. Now the Guerrera family has the stones that can make a werewolf powerful all the time and because Klaus’s blood is linked to these stones he will be in a whirlwind of pain every time a werewolf uses his strength not to turn during a full moon. Also did I mention that Hayley’s in labor which means that the witches are going up try to sacrifice her baby after it’s born and since both Klaus and Elijah are a bit not useful at the moment things aren’t looking to good. Guys I’m sure I’ll be frantically watching tonights season finale of The Originals. Right now I can’t predict anything because the show is just so unpredictable. I don’t even know what to do. I’m literally scared for Hayley, her baby and Mikael possibly coming back. Guys don’t forget to watch The Originals tonight @ 8pmon The CW and tweet along with me on Twitter @thekissofjoy

TV Talk: The Originals “The Big Uneasy”

Promo-Poster

Tuesday Nights episode of the originals was crazy. Right now I have a love hate relationship with this show. Each week it’s something I love or something I hate. This episode “The Big Uneasy” was one of those I loved but hated also ahhhh. So in this episode Klaus decides to form an alliance with Genevieve because he told her you never know when “I might need a powerful witch” thank God Klaus didn’t tell her his plans because she would have completely used it against him. This Genevieve witch is so devious that I literally can’t stand to see her on the screen. When I found out that the ancestors wanted her dead I did a little happy dance lol. She needs to be gone. Because of this new peace treaty that Elijah made with the wolves, witches and vampires; the witches well Genevieve thought it would be necessary to throw this party Feast of The Blessings where the witches would be honored. We later on find out the only reason she threw the party was to get Klaus’s mother’s Grimoire. She didn’t get because of course Klaus is always thinking 10 steps ahead. Genevieve decided also that this would be the appropriate time to teach Davina a lesson for betraying the witches. Genevieve set it up so that when all the witches received gifts Davina wouldn’t receive any which was down right devious. However, Klaus gave her a gift(the daylight ring spell for Josh) that just might shake things up. Marcel who is banished from the French quarter is somewhere cooking up a scheme to take back “his city” at first his efforts seem futile but because he sorta is dramatic like a Klaus, his stint at the party (having the vampires attack the bleeding drummers) got all his vampires back. So now he has a mini army but lost a dear friend Thierry. R.I.P he’ll be missed but he was a little coward punk tbh. As the show came to an end something I predicted would happen is going to happen. Poor Hayley is going to fall victim to the witches and their stupid rituals I knew that someone was going to try to harm her if not the witches then Marcel and his band of vampires. Let’s just hope that nothing happens.. The last part of Tuesdays episode really broke my heart because Hayley is so innocent in all this. I’m just hoping for a not so bad outcome. Don’t forget to watch an all new episode of The Originals next Tuesday @ 8pm on The CW.

TV Talk: The Originals

Promo-Poster

This weeks TV Talk is all about last nights episode of The Originals. First of all let’s talk about those witches. Those bitches have some unresolved issues with The Original family. I don’t know what Klaus and Rebekah did back in the day to those witches but they just want revenge. I love the fact that the all powerful Original Family is getting their ass handed to them this season. It’s sad because you love them but also it was boring seeing them get away with murder all the time. I love the excitement of it all. I just can’t wait to see what will happen next and get a little back story into what really happened all those years ago. I feel so bad for Hayley. She is caught between two worlds and also two fights. It sucks because she is like the innocent one who always tries to do good things but then it always backfires on her like her keg party in last nights episode. She throws this party to get to know and meet all the werewolves out in the Bayou but it turns out that the witches put a nasty curse on the werewolves so they end up attacking Rebekah and then Hayley and Jackson almost burn to death. This episode was just a roller coaster of emotions. The intensity of this episode just rocked my being lol. It’s so crazy how the witches they just tricked everyone and now they are like the top bitches in the New Orleans now. In this episode also Elijah’s strengths and weaknesses were also tested and he once again proved how he choses love and family sorta over everything else. When he came to it after Celeste put a kiss spell on him he decided to save Hayley first not knowing that his sister was laying in the forest hurt and his brother just got stabbed in the heart with Papa Tundae’s knife. He always does the noble thing but sometimes his actions result in dire consequences. What I noticed tonight though is that a new side of Elijah emerged tonight after he realized that the witches tricked him. I can’t wait to see this ruthless side of Elijah. Another character whose background is such a mystery to me is Cami. She has been around for a while. If you remember that picture she found of herself that was probably decades ago. I would love to see the writers give us more of an insight into who she really is. It would be really cool if she’s a supernatural being too. In this episode too we also lost one of the most annoying characters Sophie. I have to say I wasn’t sad when her niece killed her at all. She deserved it. She was such a weak and scared witch. I could stand her character at all. Anyway, I would like to thank you guys for tuning into this weeks first TV Talk. Also, The Originals will be back with new episodes after the Olympics on Feb 25th til then you should get caught up on The Originals if you haven’t started watching yet. I promise you this show is so worth it.
