January Favorites

It’s officially February. January was a relatively slow month for me. The days were long but the month flew by. January was actually a good month. A lot of good came with the new year. School is going great even though this sociology paper due in a couple of weeks is kicking my butt. I got invited to NYFW and I can actually go this time because work isn’t getting in the way. I’m still deciding on what I should wear because since it’s cold in New York and I want to be stylish but also comfortable and warm. I’m so nervous though. I’ve never been to a fashion show lol. For today’s blog post i want to recap January and just share with you all some of my favorites from last month. Enjoy xx ♥

Dove Quench Absolute Review

Dove Quench AbsoluteA couple of weeks ago, while out food shopping at Stop & Shop I stumbled across the Dove Quench Absolute Line for coarse/curly hair and I was so intrigued that Dove actually had a line for girls with naturally curly, coarse hair. I’ve always loved using Dove products like the bar soaps and body wash. I knew they carried a line of Shampoos and Conditioners, but I never was really interested in trying them out. However, I had just come back from vacation and my hair was starving for some TLC so I wanted something new to try. I’ve always loved how moisturized and soft my skin was after using Dove’s body soap so I was really curious to see if this Dove Quench Absolute Line would have the same effect on my hair that was suffering from a bad case of dryness. I decided to try out the Dove Quench Absolute Shampoo, Conditioner, and the Restoration Mask and the results were so impressive that I am officially a fan and I’ll definitely be buying again. Hey guys!!! It’s Sunday again which means it’s time for another Sunday Social.

1. What is one item you wish you could splurge on right now

♥ I would really love to have an iMac for to use for blogging only. I currently use my Macbook for everything and I feel like having a separate computer preferably an iMac for blogging will be beneficial to my blog.

2. If you had an entire weekend of no plans what would you do?

♥ I would order sushi and watch movies all weekend long lol

3. What is the next place you are visiting outside of your current city?

♥ I’ll be visiting New York 🙂

4. Are you a neat freak or a clutterbug?

♥ LORD!! I am a clutterbug. My room is so messy at the moment.

5. What is your favorite summer purchase?

♥ My favorite purchase was the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser that thing is a miracle worker for your face and should be apart of everyone’s skin care regimen.

What’s To Come on The Kiss Of Joy

After coming back home from my week-long vacation in Florida from visiting my dad and his side of the family, which was amazing I must say. I was eager to get back home to CT because I knew I had some fun and amazing packages waiting for me. I absolutely love getting new goodies in the mail so when I ordered my new business cards I couldn’t wait to rush home just to open them. My new business cards I ordered from Moo.com are amazing. I love them so much and the design totally represents my blog and its new direction. I also got my first ever Birchbox, which was everything and more I hoped it would be. My two favorite items were the Vasanti BrightenUp Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator and theBalm cosmetics Stainaic. I finished the Vasanti Face Rejuvenator but I am most definitely buying the full product. Another amazing thing that happened was I interviewed a friend recently for my new blog series launching this Fall. My new blog series “Finding Joy” is something that I’ve always wanted to do on my blog. I’ve always wanted to be able to tell someone’s story and with my new blog series “Finding Joy” launching this Fall I’m hoping to tell your story. “Finding Joy” is a way for people to get their story out, to inspire and bring hope and joy into someone’s life. “Finding Joy” tells the story of someone of someone who has been through a difficult situation but through it all they remained happy, hopeful and full of joy or they were able to find that joy in their life once again. I’m so excited to launch this series, it has been on my heart for some time and I’m so excited to see how everything comes together. Until then you guys can stay tuned for more information on “Finding Joy” and also information on how you guys can be involved. Wish me luck guys and thank you so much for reading… xoxo Besos.

May Julep Maven Box Review

This month my May Julep Maven Box was amazing. I decided to change the theme of my box to Modern Beauty so instead of getting tons of Nail Polishes I won’t use from the “It Girl Box” I get 2 full size products. This month I absolutely loved what came in my little purple Julep Maven Box. I got a “Brilliance Glycolic Hand Scrub” and a “Rock Star Hand Crème.” This is probably the first time I actually loved everything that was in the box they sent me. The hand scrub is everything I imagined it would be. The hand scrub is incredible. After I applied the scrub onto my hand and I rubbed it in, my hand felt so clean and soft. I then applied the hand lotion that came with it and hours later my hand is still very moisturized and soft. Overall, the products they sent me were worth the 19$ a month I pay for the box. I was definitely considering canceling my Julep subscription but this Julep Maven box totally changed my mind. If you would like to sign up for a monthly Julep Maven Box  click on my referral link—> http://www.julep.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/264412/, fill out your Maven Style Profile and you will receive you Julep Maven Box for only $19.99.
