Now that I live in Florida all my ankle boots are nicely packed in their boxes in a storage container. I know I know I’m sad too. The weather in Florida just doesn’t get cold enough to wear my ankle boots. Last winter it got to about 40 degrees but honestly when I stepped outside in my ankle boots to go to my nephew’s girlfriend birthday party, I had to run inside to change because my feet were so hot. I’m one of those girls who can’t wear my ankle boots unless it’s really cold and Florida’s 40 degree weather isn’t Connecticut’s 40 degree weather. I miss wearing ankle boots y’all but I don’t miss the cold weather lol. Every time I visit my favorite online stores to see what’s in style I always have to stop myself and remember that I don’t live in Connecticut anymore and buying these boots are an absolute waste of money. One of my favorite stores to buy boots at is surprisingly Forever21. I have to say that they are not only affordable but they are really good quality. I got these boots (pictured here) two years ago and they are still in perfect condition and I wore them almost everyday and did all my errands in them when I lived in as a nanny in New York. For today’s outfit choice I wanted to create something with my new Fall favorite trend “The Peplum.” I saw this style trickling into stores last year but it wasn’t as popular as it is now. All I am seeing everywhere is “The Peplum.” I find this style to be just perfect for the modern woman today. It gives women a taste of elegance and also a taste of sexy when they put it on (well that’s how I feel). I can’t wait to dress up my many Peplum tops this fall and simply make it my own. “The Peplum” makes me feel empowered like I can take on the world one outfit at a time.
