The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: My Favorites & What I Bought

It’s the most wonderful time of the year guys. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has started. For those who love to shop, this sale is a big deal because Nordstrom puts all their new stuff, and them BAM marks them down for a couple days. So from now until July 20th, if you have the Nordstrom credit or debit card you can exclusively shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale before it opens to the public and score all the good stuff. Last night, I stayed up until almost 5 am just browsing the entire sale and I picked out some of my favorites and also ordered a ton of things. Let’s just say my bank account is definitely going to feel this one lol! My Nordstrom’s cart totaled items in the double digits. Ahh this sale is soo good that you can’t afford to miss all the good deals. Just a little note: If you have early access because you’re a cardholder, I highly recommend that you shop now before the sale goes live for the public because a lot of things sell out fast. Second, if you aren’t a cardholder and are a fan of Nordstrom’s please please apply for the debit or credit card. It only takes a few minutes and you can sign up here right now. Third, be smart about shopping this sale. If you like something don’t just get it make sure that you can actually afford it and that you’ll actually wear it. One blogger I follow on Instagram even suggested by certain items in 2’s just in case one doesn’t fit because everything sells out very fast. Also, use this sale to stock up on jeans. A lot of my favorite brands like Topshop, Free People and 7 for all mankind jeans go on sale. A good pair of jeans that is affordable is hard to come by so I know that once they’re on sale during the #NSale I’m buying them. Check out some of my favorites and what I bought below in my shopping guide.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites

The Nordstrom Sale has started and so far I am loving so many of the pieces they have on sale this year. I have to say the pieces this year are so much better than last year, especially the boots. This sale is literally the best sale of the year in my opinion of course. My life has been so hectic recently, so this sale is definitely making my day. I recently moved to Florida and for the past month, I have been so busy. I’ve been so busy that I’ve neglected my blog lol! That’s how crazy my life has been. Nordstrom SaleImage Source

One of my favorite is this cowl neck shift dress. I have been obsessing over them, since I find shift dresses so flattering on a curvy girl. I am also in love with these lace up flats. Don’t you just love the lace up flats trend this season. Now these ankle skinny jeans from Topshop are just perfect. I love that they come in the color stone! Since I had Early Access, I splurged and bought this gorgeous dress and since I live in Florida now, it’s so perfect for the weather down here. I also ordered these boots for the Fall. Don’t worry they’re open toed so I’m not going to be too hot. I’m also going to order some new workout clothes that I’ll link below. This Nordstrom Sale is filled with so many great pieces that you should definitely stock up on. Are you shopping during the Nordstrom Sale? If you are I would definitely love to see your pictures and sale guides. View Post

NYFW: A Dream Come True

Last month, I was given the amazing opportunity to attend the F/W 2016 NYFW showcase. I was so excited because I was finally getting the opportunity to live out a dream of mine. I remember the first time I heard about NYFW and from then on I’ve always been interested and I’ve always wanted to attend. Thankfully, Shopping Links was giving a few bloggers the opportunity to attend NYFW and I was picked to attend the Leanne Marshall NYFW F/W 2016 showcase. NYFW View Post

Fashion Love: Every Girl Should Have A ___

I am firm believer in the notion that every woman’s closet should at least have a couple of staple pieces. It can be a little black dress, a pair of black pumps, at least one thing designer, a blazer or cardigan, ballet flats, black dress pants, a white T-shirt, skinny jeans, etc. In this case I think every woman should at least have a jumpsuit or romper in their closet. I know they’ve been in style for a while but I have a confession to make I sadly don’t own one. It’s not that I can’t afford to buy one it’s just that I haven’t found the perfect jumpsuit/pantsuit yet. However, I do own a cute little blue romper that I got on sale last year at Forever 21 for like $12/$15. I can’t really remember the price all I can tell you is that it was cheap. The reason why I don’t own a jumpsuit yet is because I’m still on the hunt for the perfect one. I’ve found a couple that I liked at Forever 21, H&M and Boohoo.com but every time I looked to buy a jumpsuit, they never had my size. I’m still so bummed because a lot of times I would have found the perfect jumpsuit to compliment my figure but then my size would be unavailable. Honestly, it’s just heartbreaking. Today I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite jumpsuits under $100 that I love and think you guys might also love. I also wanted to know your opinion on one staple piece that you have, would like to have or you think a woman or if you’re a man should have in their closet? Have a great weekend xx ♥

Fashion Love: The Billboard Music Awards

The Billboard Music Awards were last Sunday and if I’m being honest it wasn’t really all that good. The only reason why I actually watched the Billboard Music Awards was because of Taylor Swifts Bad Blood Music Video Premiere, which by the way was amazing. You can watch it here. I also tuned into the Billboard Music Awards because one of my favorites Tori Kelly was performing. She killed it. Her first award show performance was everything. There were also a ton of bad performances like Mariah Carey, Kanye West (sorry but you couldn’t see or hear anything he was saying) and I wasn’t too fond of that Pretty Girls performance but it could just be because I genuinely hate that song. However, there was one good thing about the Billboard Music Awards and that was the fashion. Some of my favorite celebrities arrived on the Red Carpet and I have to admit even though they night didn’t bring about any interesting/ out of the box fashion looks I was still able to pick out some my favorite looks from this year’s Billboard Music Awards. Also did you guys here that H&M’s next high fashion collaboration is with Balmain. The new collaboration is set to launch this November and honestly I can’t wait. Who was your favorite red carpet look?
